Comedian Joan Rivers has never been known as the warm and fuzzy type, but her latest comments basically endorsing the slaughter of thousands of Palestinians were tasteless even for her. When informed of the fact that some 2,000 people, overwhelmingly civilians, were being killed in the latest attacks on Gaza, Rivers responded, “Good… When you declare war, you declare war. They started it. We now don’t count who’s dead. You’re dead. You deserve to be dead. You started it. You started it! Don’t you dare make me feel sad about that… [Hamas] are terrorists.” When the man questioning her in the video below informed her that Hamas is a democratically-elected representative of the people, Rivers responded, “They were reelected by a lot of stupid people who don’t even own a pencil.”
(If this metaphor is to be taken seriously, however, then it must be concluded that the reason they are without pencils is because Israel has already taken away all their pencils and left the Palestinians with nothing but pencil shavings.)
But the comments didn’t stop there. When pressed to comment about the large percentage of civilians casualties in the war as opposed to those of fighters, she callously replied, “Who cares?… You were told to get out. You don’t get out. Then you know you’re an idiot. At least the ones who were killed were the ones with very low IQs.”
This is not her first time addressing this issue, however. Last month she gave a quick interview to TMZ in which she made a rather absurd analogy between Gaza versus Israel and New Jersey versus New York.
Rivers: If New Jersey were firing rockets into New York, we would wipe ’em out… I don’t want to hear anymore, ‘oh, we’ll do a partial truce.'”
TMZ: What about the civilian casualty rates?
Rivers: Don’t put your goddamn things in private homes…”
TMZ: The response normally is, “where are the civilians supposed to go?”
Rivers: I don’t care! They started it. You’re all insane! They started it!! What are you all saying? They started it! The Israelis did not throw their whol… The BBC should be ashamed of itself, and CNN should be ashamed of itself, and everybody should stop it already.
Joan Rivers isn’t the only celebrity to ride hard for Israel. Her comments were seconded and endorsed by such paragons of justice as former Alaskan reality TV star Sarah Palin, who applauded Joan for “cutting through the nonsense and getting to the truth“, as well as radio personality Howard Stern who recently declared, “If you’re anti-Israel, then you’re anti-America“.
What do you think about that? Are you anti-America if you’re anti-Israel? And what about people who are labeled both “anti-America” and “anti-Israel” at the same time? Is that just a way of saying “anti-Imperialist”? Do discuss.
United States Hypocrisy 
Wish my mom knew about Joan Rivers’ racism against Palestinians. That way, she’d stop idolizing this overrated woman.
I’ve never been a fan of the woman. To me her whole career was built on tearing other people down, or trying to anyway.
Joan rivers you suppose get more knowledgeable with years not ignorant. First informed your self with the facts about what this people is going through before saying they deserve to die.
Joan Rivers is like the Ferguson Police and all police who serve the white establishment here in America, she just doesn’t care as long as it’s happening to people she considers unworthy of life.

Look what happen to her now.She is now with no IQ and at least the Palestinian civilians got the courage to die for their country.Tell Rivers its not that the Palestinians does not have a pen but they were not given.And now even if you give Ms Rivers the most expensive pen, she can’t even recognise the pen. I am from Vancouver,Canada and I wanted to say that Joan Rivers has always been a racist, reactionary person.Thats the kind of people who supports the American gov. and the Israeli gov.Back in the 1850s in France when Louis Bonaparte was President the majority of people in France didn’t like him so he bribed the down and out and the riff raff in Paris to support him.The American gov. gets support from Joan Rivers and people like herself so nothing is done about anything she says or does.
Interesting. I mean, she has the right to voice her opinion and all, but I just know that if someone in America made these kind of remarks about Israelis instead of Palestinians it would have a hugely negative impact on their career. I wanted to say that celebrities who think that their careers are more important than their principals got no principals and they are lower than a snake.Joan Rivers is one of them and there are many in Hollywood like that.Danny Glover is someone who got principals and support among many people.Unfortunately in Hollywood few are like him.

Her comments have the correct comebacks …. ignorant can’t be changed, neither can heartless!! Another person who has a “soapbox” and uses it in correctly, IMHO ……
