After Chicago police allegedly received a phone call about a young black male carrying a gun in a Chicago neighborhood, they apparently decided that any young Black male could be the person they were looking for. So they settled on a 10 year old who had no knowledge of what was going on and decided to harass him. Fourth grader Michael Thomas Jr. “was handcuffed by officers outside his grandmother’s home, then pushed up against the hood of a squad car as police questioned him about possessing a firearm.” According to these gestapo officers they were perfectly justified in treating him this way and keeping him handcuffed and terrorized for 15 minutes because he fit the vague description of being a 12 year old black male wearing blue.
