I’m re-blogging this article here today from Scholars and Rogues because it is referring to the same Louisiana congressman and former St. Landry’s Parish police officer who just yesterday released a political video of himself inside the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau, in which he suggests the U.S. should shut itself off from the rest of the world because of the evil that occurred in Europe during WWII. According to this Republican congressman, Clay Higgins, it is his prerogative as a current member of the House Homeland Security Committee “to make damn sure that the United States of America is protected from the evils of the world.” Apparently he sees the U.S. as the last bastion of all that is pure and innocent, while the rest of the world is just a horrid, nasty place with nothing but decadence to offer.

In the meantime, this monster known as the “Cajun John Wayne” has spent years in the public eye demonizing Muslims, Mexicans, and “wannabe black activists.” Last month he courted controversy when he said that all suspected radicalized Muslims (who he referred to as “heathen animals”) should be hunted down and extra-judicially executed. “Kill them all,” Higgins wrote in his Facebook post. “For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.” According to Higgins’s brand of Christian fascism, “all of Christendom… is at war with Islamic horror.” Higgins is very clearly an enemy to all people with even a shred of decency left in them.
