The United States Launches All-out War on Syria

And so it begins, the direct U.S. war on Syria. Without having any proof that the Syrian government is the one responsible for the chemical weapons attack (and plenty of reason to think this is once again the rebels staging an attack to bring about foreign intervention), Trump has launched a U.S. military operation against the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad and by extension Russia. With this latest development in the bloody Syrian conflict, which has already killed more than 407,000 people and displaced millions upon millions more, it appears that the bloodshed has only just begun.

As previewed earlier tonight, the US has launched air strikes against Syria, with NBC reporting that under instructions from President Trump, US ships have launched over 50 Tomahawk missiles, striking Syria. NBC adds that only tomahawks missiles fired, no fixed wing aircraft involved, for now. According to CBS, the U.S. launched about 60 Tomahawk missiles […]

  1. Consider “A Covert Affair”, by By Conant, Jennet. It is about WWII, when (yes Thee) Julia and Paul Child were in the OSS, mostly in Southeast Asia, The main story s is so-so; but, there are two back-stories. Agent Jane Foster, was in several of the Hot Spots, post-War.

The locals in Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, etc. did not want the return of the Colonial Rulers. The British, Dutch and French all backed each other up. But, the Americans in the OSS–who were somewhat above it all–couldn’t get the US Govenment to side with the people. Perhaps these were intent on appeasing their allies.

Besides that political stuff, many of the OSS were put through torture as these were hounded by the McCarthy “Red-Baiters’. That by itself might be something out of a Russian novel–or a pogrom.

  2. The US has been using false flag attacks to justify military aggression since 1895 and the Spanish American War. That’s the only way that can get the US public (which fiercely opposes foreign military aggression) to go along with their obscene plans.

    1. After three unnecessary wars–Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq–it is important that Congress, where the Constitution proved the Authority to Declare War, and not one misguided person–of either party. We did’;t need an initial invasion force in 2001 to go after one man, Osama bin Laden, and we never did find those WNDs. Keep in ind also, that our misadventures in Iraq gave birth to al-Qaeda of Iraq, which became ISIS–and many of Saddam Hussein’s “Best” have been providing experience Leadership to it!

      1. I would also add to that list Libya, though there was no ground invasion and occupation. I do feel it was illegal to take this military action without congressional approval.

    1. I actually heard someone in the media say that this attack is going to help us get “health care reform”, “infrastructure” and education! How does that work?

  3. And according to news, today about 3 hours ago, at the second rank of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, large landing warship, Nikolai Filchenkov 1, passed Dardanelles(Gallipoli strait) and goes to the Mediterranean.

    1. The Russian ship going to the Med is standard procedure. The key fact to watch if it heads toward the Russian naval facility, in Syria, or just lurks in the region.

Perhaps Ivanka is research ing whether there is a version of “The Art of the Deal” that cn help Donald tap dance with his bro, Putie.

      1. “The Russian ship going to the Med is standard procedure. The key fact to watch if it heads toward the Russian naval facility, in Syria, or just lurks in the region.”

Really? You should be an expert. 🙂

I am not the expert, but I experienced somethings about the region. For example Russia never send one after the other two class war ships to the east of the Mediterranean, unless there is a drill, or if there is no such thing as big military interventions at the Syrian war.

And all war ships of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet always go to Russia’s naval base in Tartus, Syria at eastern, when they head toward to Mediterranean. Which is I was mentioning one of the war ship of this fleet.

Even if Russia’s naval base in Tartus is on its way to becoming the largest naval base in the eastern Mediterranean, its capacity has risen to only 11 ships on february 2017. With this naval base Russia can control max. 20 war ships at eastern Mediterranean. This is already a real power against NATO’s,(especially US’s) naval forces in the region with its shape. Besides, in the 4 big class war ship, I mentioned, Nikolai Filchenkov 1, is a landing warship, it is at the second rank of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

And after Nikolai Filchenkov 1, into two hours in today, Admiral Grigoryevich, which is the head guard of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, passed through the Dardanelles Strait.

These two are big enough for any battle. Already, Admiral Grigoryevich has been used last in November 2016 for missile strikes against ISIS.

I am not mentioning this is the single and only point for start of the big war. But this is something important and not standart procedure. Even today Menvedev said for US, “One step away from military clashes with Russia”; this is really something. We will not go to 3rd world war tomorrow. But what happened today will be written at history as one of the key facts of the reasons of 3rd world war.

Anyway, I am not expert as I said, but maybe an expert would make a dot to the issue with own huge knowledge. 🙂

        1. Migarium, my reply was based on your initial comment that one ship had passed. In any sort of an action by one nation, the other responds. The question is whether it is a basic response, or a continuing show ofr force. I could only go by what you had provided.

Similarly, whenever North Korea fires a missile, all parties–both Koreas, China and the U. S.–go to a new level of readiness. But, when Secretary Rex Tillerson suggested that we might make a pre-emptive attack on the North, you can be quite sure that the show of force was much greater than usual, including our troops in Japan.

My point was not meant to question your premise, but merely to respond to what information you did v=cite, not that which you did not comment on.

          1. “Migarium, my reply was based on your initial comment that one ship had passed. In any sort of an action by one nation, the other responds. The question is whether it is a basic response, or a continuing show ofr force. I could only go by what you had provided.”

Yes, I wrote only one sentence:
“And according to news, today about 3 hours ago, at the second rank of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, large landing warship, Nikolai Filchenkov 1, passed Dardanelles(Gallipoli strait) and goes to the Mediterranean.”

            You answered to this:
“The Russian ship going to the Med is standard procedure. The key fact to watch if it heads toward the Russian naval facility, in Syria, or just lurks in the region.”

I answered this into my comment:
“And all war ships of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet always go to Russia’s naval base in Tartus, Syria at eastern, when they head toward to Mediterranean. Which is I was mentioning one of the war ship of this fleet.”

            So as seeing in my reply over the knowledges;
All Russia Black Sea Fleet’s war ships go to the Syria, Tartus Naval base of Russia, if they pass through Dardanelles.

But you made wrong conclusion, as if the exact result is “in the form of a standard procedure”, without knowing this knowledge.

So actually even if my comment was only one sentence, this one was open sentence to the ones who are knowing this information.

But you acted like knowing all.

I also don’t expect that all people to know everything. This is impossible. I don’t know everything. But when I don’t know about a thing, I don’t talk as if I know that thing. In east, we the communists don’t talk, if we don’t know enough about that thing. If we don’t sure about that thing, then we add some words, like “as far as I know”, before our views; or we don’t say any word and try to learn about that if it is necessary.

And we the communists at east, about a topic that we are not sure about, we never say “this is standard procedure or the key fact is …” for it. Because the communists are always the ones, who are always under attack by capitalist-elitist world more than anyone. That’s why any lack knowledge that if we insist to use it or using wrong knowledge of us cause to get more harm of us.

      1. So many events go on in the region with speed of light. Even we cannot have the opportunity to catch the news, my Earthling friend. In these terms, you at there cannot learn every news on time. Of course if we add the mainstream media factor, this is more hard.

The thing what I saw was Israel again rubbs own hands with joy into all this confusion and chaos. Because, The Greater Middle East project, which began in the Bush era in 2004, Middle East has been shaping properly what Israel wanted. First Iraq was seperated, now Syria.

Before then, the map was like that(still some parts are same):

with the shape of the GME project in publising in 2006,

We can see the greater Kurdistan in here, with its soils that to be wanted to snatch from 4 country, Iran, Syria, Turkey and of course Iraq(Right now Iraq is the complated part of the map). But the greater Kurdistan will be also Israel’s puppet state. Like in Iraqi Kurdistan, when Syria Kurdistan would be accomplished, the region’s wealth will not serve to the ordinary Kurdish people at the region. Rich people will be more rich poor people will be more poor. While all mainstream media was speaking out “YPG is freedom fighter against ISIS” last 4 years, they have been trying to build this map. Already, PYD’s (Kurdish, Democratic Union Party Syria) leader Salim Muslim, (the military arm of PYD is YPG) announced the support of US airstrike.

This is puzzle map, my Earthling friend. And it all serves to capitalist-imperialist elites.

By the way, in 2015 Hollywood movie, Queen of the Desert, Gertrude Bell (Nicole Kidman played) wasn’t in a vain. In 1920 Gertrude drawn a map of the sharing of the Middle East, which would be the basis for the Agreement of Sevr. Her map, which was drawn straight with the ruler like cutting a cake after the first world war, is almost the same as the border of all the countries in today’s The Greater Middle East project. She is kind of one of the symbols of British imperialism. Yes, an another overrated ballon of imperialism in theaters after 100 years later, right in time. 🙂

          1. I didn’t watch. Already you know Galactic Council has banned to watch Hollywood movies of us, my salary can be in danger if I watch. Even we don’t have any union as observer workers of galaxy, like Earthlings have. (Yes, I am still watching the alien movies in secret, without notice of them.:))

            1. Oh.. perhaps I should make myself watch it and let you know how I believe it and its portrayl of your fellow Martians. If I can stomach Nicole Kidman’s performance lol. She tends to overract in my opinion.

              1. Yes, that would be great if you let me know. By the way, I have heard some Martians enjoy to watch some blond Hollywood actress like Marilyn Monroe; but I don’t know anything else about Martians interest, my Earthling friend; they are totaly different kind from us. Also, I am totaly agree with you about Nicole Kidman’s performance. Even, after seeing her clapping performance at Oscar Award Ceremony, I was totaly sure, haha!

                for remembering 🙂

              2. I mistakenly believed all this time you were a Martian and you have never corrected me until now lol. What planet do you hail from again?

              3. Yes, I have never said or corrected you, you’re right my Earthling friend. But, I am not able to say the name of my origin planet. I can only say where it is. It is in open cluster NGC 265 at Small Magellanic Cloud galaxy. I cannot say it’s name, because the humans couldn’t discover it and give a name yet. If I say its name right now, before humans describe it, it can create paradox. Probably it wouldn’t be same with Grandfather paradox, but it will create a fluid motion in that direction that I pointed at. Noone is affected from this paradox, except me and the one who I said it’s name and the ones who heard this from us. Let’s we imagine this.

I say it’s name to you right now. You and the people who are following to you read this. Hundreds of years later someone reads our talks in the digital records. And he or she decides to give the same name which we talked about. At the moment when it’s name becomes definite as same my word hundreds of years later, you and me and the others would stuck between today and that time hundreds of years later. To realize that moment, we have to live again and again same things on this planet on this period. Do you want to see again and again Trump presidentship or anything else like that in an infinite loop? Like a nightmare, haha!

I don’t want to do this wrong to any Earthling friends.:)

              4. I thank you very much for being kind enough to look out for us all. There are so many things I do not want to be stuck watching on repeat lol.

              5. This is a little help we can do for the people who behave good and not being racist against extraterrestrials. Thank you too! 🙂

              6. Guess what?! Apparently that movie you were referencing was only released to North American audiences yesterday, two years after premiering in Europe and the reviews are so far absolutely atrocious.

  4. Turkey has the most to gain from the U.S., or anyone, going to war with Syria. The Sarin “Recipe” (formula) could just as easily be Turkey’s, as Syria’s Trumpie still doesn’t seem to know that only Congress can Declare War, or commit Acts of War. Remember that Syria is a sovereign state, however rigged the election was. Just look air ours.

Russia has both an air and a sea base in southwest Syria, and what if Russian troops were killed on the bases targeted. Also, when the field commanders engage in Tactical (or local) action, how does that jive with the Tactical (or bug picture) war.

Lastly, after Vietnam, one of the delegates to the Paris Peace Talks reminded Henry Kissinger: “You won the battles, but, you lost the War. Do we wish to expand our thirteen year war in Iraq, and keep it going. Somethings tells me that we will be in this one for the long, long, long-haul!

    P. S. None of the Trump or Jushner “men” have serve ed, have they?

    1. Everything you said was the absolute truth Cheekos. Like damn, just like the Seymour Hersch article exposed Turkey supplied the rebels with the sarin once before. Whose to say they aren’t up to the same tricks once again?! My god this is insanity. I guess 15 years is enough for the US to have already forgotten the falsified info that led us to Iraq. Now swallowing the same type of shit to attack Syria.

      1. Harsh described another couple of situation in “The Killing of Osama bin Laden”. Turkey is allegedly involved in assisting Muslims in moving back and forth between China, Russia and Syria. There is a point on the map where a number of countries meet.

Also, the Intel agencies often assist one another, somewhat of a back channel, even when the nations are non-cooperative.

Oh, and one more. The story Hersh tells about how bin Laden was captured and killed is quite compelling. The official story was that the SEALs’ Blackhawks snuck-in; but, that’s ridiculous. Abbotabad is a major resort city.

Pakistani Intel and Military chief’s had to be in on the attack, with money changing hands, and the official story is supposed to provide them with a cover story.

        1. Absolutely. I thought the whole thing was suspect, like it went down to smoothly. Also according to him if I recall correctly bin Laden’s body was thrown from a helicopter and not into the ocean? Am I remembering that correctly?
