What Jackie Robinson And Colin Kaepernick Had In Common

Most Americans have admiration for Jackie Robinson, but they have formed a lynch mob mentality when it comes to the recent protest against American nationalism by 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. These same people fail to realize that Jackie Robinson, until his dying day, shared the exact same views on the national anthem and pledge of allegiance as Kaepernick. Both athletes were of the belief that this expression of patriotic devotion to the United States was nothing more than cheap empty rhetoric in light of the plight of people of color in these United States.
