The United States is No. 1 – But in What?

Indeed, we’re #1 in all the things that matter! … the world’s largest imprisoner, the world’s most militarized state, the world’s largest manufacturer of weapons of mass destruction. That’s just a few of the things that immediately come to mind.

October 13, 2014 “ICH” – “HNN” – – American politicians are fond of telling their audiences that the United States is the greatest country in the world. Is there any evidence for this claim?

Well, yes. When it comes to violence and preparations for violence, the United States is, indeed, No. 1. In 2013, according to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the U.S. government accounted for 37 percent of world military expenditures, putting it far ahead of all other nations. 1. I think it could be said that we are Number One in sending billions of dollars of taxpayer money over to foreign countries in the form of foreign or military aid …… countries where many of the recipients of our benefactions hate us and take to the streets chanting anti-American slogans, waving their automatic weapons in the air …. scowling …. burning The American Flag and burning effigies of Uncle Sam and all the rest of the crap they can be seen on some television broadcasts doing. Yes, I think we are Number One in the World for helping people who don’t really give a damn about us.

    1. Well I would STRONGLY disagree that we are in fact helping any of those countries. Most of that aid is going to a select group of people at high level of government for the purpose of suppressing their own people like in Egypt and Bahrain. That way the resources on those countries can be used to enrich big American and Western oil companies and the like instead of being used for the betterment of the peoples’ lives who are living there. That is the main reason the populations burn flags and effigies of America. They see the US as the imperialist power in the world that won’t lift its boot off their necks, much as the British empire once was. The number of governments we’ve overthrown covertly or directly over the years numbers from 70-100 I believe.
